Hello to everyone--what sights to see here in Rome! We saw the ruins of the roman forum and the coliseum yesterday, it was incredibly interesting to get a glimpse at what life was like hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Today we were fortunate to see Vatican City--St Peter's Basillica, the Vatican museum--many works by Raphael- and then the Sistine Chapel. I was pretty awestruck to see thefamous cieling painted by Michaelangelo-the creation of Adam is BEAUTIFUL....

We made it! It was an exhausting trip to find our apartment in Rome--plus it is about 100 degrees here! An hour on the PACKED public bus, and then about 20 min of walking with our now very heavy packs on... = HOT!!! We were very sad to leave Florence, it was by far our most favorite city yet. Bonjourno! Florence is wonderful, we can feel the difference in the city and the people compared to Paris. Everything is much more relaxed! We have explored the flea markets front and back, and also went to the Ponte Vecchio bridge--one that has been standing since the 1400s!
