Hello! We arrived in Zurich last night after a long but very beautiful train ride into Switzerland. We are staying right near Lake Zurich, which is beautiful. Today we got a paddleboat and got out on the lake... and then got rained on..! But it is still very pretty here. We are getting pretty excited to come home and be able to seep in our own beds! Ciao everyone, it has been a while! Weleft Rome on the 22nd and headed North to a coastal town called Rimini. It was on the Adriatic Sea. The town was cute, it looked exactly like Amityville from the movie Jaws, very 1950's. There was a great boardwalk down on the ocean and beach umbrellas everywhere! Hello to everyone--what sights to see here in Rome! We saw the ruins of the roman forum and the coliseum yesterday, it was incredibly interesting to get a glimpse at what life was like hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Today we were fortunate to see Vatican City--St Peter's Basillica, the Vatican museum--many works by Raphael- and then the Sistine Chapel. I was pretty awestruck to see thefamous cieling painted by Michaelangelo-the creation of Adam is BEAUTIFUL....

We made it! It was an exhausting trip to find our apartment in Rome--plus it is about 100 degrees here! An hour on the PACKED public bus, and then about 20 min of walking with our now very heavy packs on... = HOT!!! We were very sad to leave Florence, it was by far our most favorite city yet. But Rome is a-calling... We are trying to recover from the heat exhaustion for now, tonight we are going to try and see Vatican city all lit up for the evening, and also exp...

Bonjourno! Florence is wonderful, we can feel the difference in the city and the people compared to Paris. Everything is much more relaxed! We have explored the flea markets front and back, and also went to the Ponte Vecchio bridge--one that has been standing since the 1400s! We have seen a few basilicas and have had some DELICIOUS pasta dishes so far! One day left here and then off to Rome, its very hard to believe our trip is half over...Ciao for now! p.s. i ha...
