Hey guys,
Cape Tribulation or Cape Stimulation as Ive named it, was probably the biggest waste of money so far during my travels. Daintree National Park is a rainforest, one of the oldest in the world, for me though they were just trees, lots of them. Theres nothing there as well, its quite remote, so we were in our dorm or in the pool most of the time when away from our guide. Theres an amazing beach but its stinger season, & if you get stung you have 10mins to live & apparently its a horrible 10 mins! Plus there are crocs all over the place so the pool is really your best bet & im really not a swimming pool gal, i like the beach!!! I'd forgotten how hazardous Australia was.
I was still feeling like complete crap & its horrible being like that when you don't have your mum or your room to get well in on top of that I froze my arse off in the dorm at night, the air con was at 18 degrees!!! I stayed in the tv lounge the whole time.
Im still kinda baffled at what the attraction is,I mean don't get me wrong, theres tons of wildlife & mangroves (yeah I didn't really learn what that was either) but it just wasn't to my liking. Everyone says its wicked because they went out & got smashed, but you could easily do that in Cairns without paying all that money to get there.... I don't know maybe I missed something!
To be fair to Cape Trib I think its a case of once you've seen one rainforest you've pretty much seen them all & Ive seen lots in central America and obviously in Thailand too so I wasn't that impressed-dont let the aussies hear me!!!
Bye guys xx
