The boat trip was amazing!! We jumped from the boat and swam to see the monkeys, who jumped on one girls head and pulled her hair, they also bombed out of trees and into the water (they look like drowned rats swimming), swam up to boats to steal food and were generally entertaining and clever. We took photos of pirates cove (my camera's playing up I think it's got a virus and none of the computer can find the photos so I can't put any up yet), snorkelled and saw awesome fish, floated around in rubber rings, kayaked (probably mispelt that one), walked to the amazing Maya Bay (the beach from The Beach) and watched the sunset (partially obstructed by clouds). Obviously Lauren couldn't do much of that stuff, bless her, but we met some really cool girls on the boat and she got to go to Maya Bay. Most of the girls were travelling on their own but had met up in hostels, one is heading a similar route to me so I might bump into her again.
That night we took it easy on the drinking as we had decided to get an early boat to Phuket, which we didn't make, so we got the later one instead. We had our fingers crossed that our hotel is nicer than the sweatbox we stayed in in Phi Phi....and it was! TV, fridge, proper shower and best of all A/C!!! Bliss! Phuket is everything I thought Bangkok would be; busy, sleazy and noisy. Thai women dance on every bar, men try and talk you into seeing Ping Pong shows (if you don't know I'm not explaining!) in the street, bright lights, loud music, people trying to sell you stuff every second even whilst your sleeping on the beach, animals dressed in clothes for you to have your photo with - it's mental!
We only stayed in Phuket two nights but had a great time. We saw a Ladyboy Cabare (spelling mistake??) show, it was great, lots of bad miming to songs, tonnes of skimpy outfits, plenty of feathers and sequins. Some of the ladyboys are beautiful!! Seriously they look amazing, tiny figures to die for and cute faces, the hands and feet are a give away but I have big feet and I'm pretty sure I was born a girl! Phuket is full of couples and chinese people on holiday, it wasn't really a backpacker place although we made a couple of friends in our hotel. The beach was lovely to lay on and top up the old tan, last time I'll be on a beach for a good few weeks now :( There was a good few markets and they were happy to barter over the price so a got a gift or two for the family. I skyped Becca, Mum, Dad and Joe whilst out there and they looked like they were having so much fun, I miss the normality of lying on the sofa and being annoyed by Joe or chatting to Mum in the kitchen whilst cooking or making Dad drop me places :)
Then we spent half a day and night travelling all the way back to Bangkok. We had to get a minibus, yes a minibus for 4 hours, then swap onto a big coach which had lots of leg room, curtains, a TV but was still a coach so not the comfiest to sleep in. We arrived back in Bangkok at 5am and checked into our hotel to sleep for a few hours. Then we went to see the Grand Palace, you have to dress respectfully and obviously my travelling attire wasn't deemed respectful so I had to rent a lovely (not!) shirt to cover my shoulders and a sarong to cover my legs, if you think I looked hot in Africa think that look x10!! We wandered around, saw the Emerald Buddha and lots of other sparkly, over the top temples. Then we went to see the reclining Buddha at Wat Pao, now that was impressive!! It is HUGE!!! One foot was my height! It was so big I couldn't get it all in a photo at once. After that we were all templed and Buddha-ed out so we went for a quick trip to the hospital for Lauren to have her arm stitches removed and then had a group skype with one of our best friends Emma who turned 23 yesterday (Happy Bday Emma). It was great talking to her, I'm definitely getting home sick these last few weeks :( So looking forward to being back now.
Then me and Lauren headed to the night market to grab some street food, unfortunately the night market doesn't sell food only fake designer bags, sunnies etc. So we had our last meal together and headed back to Koh San Road for our final night out. It was a big one, to say the least, and we overslept this morning, slept through the wake up call and Lauren's alarm and woke three hours before her flight to rush around the room packing and say a quick goodbye before chucking her in a taxi, Opps!
I've checked out now and am wasting time (obviously writing this is not a waste of time :) ) until I can check into my hostel (yes hostel not hotel my 2 week holiday is over and I'm back to living on a budget) and hopefully make some new friends, once my hangover subsides I'm sure I'll be good company and someone might want to talk to me, fingers crossed!
Love and miss you all xxxxxx

Boo first to comment!! Get yourself to a ping pong show lol. Glad to hear your still loving life... but sorry to see your standards of spelling have slipped! Take care xx
Helen Doherty I looked up ping pong show and read that it is very risky and not at all kind to goldfish and frogs. Glad you had a good two weeks holiday, shame you have to get back to budgeting- in the sunshine, meeting new people and seeing places us non-travelling folk only dream about; you poor thing. Love you lots autie Helen x x x x x

Surin Beach Hotel Thank you nice article. I am someone who really love Thailand. Last month I’ve been to Surin Beach and like this place very much because this beach is quiet, white beaches and crystal clear waters. Surin Bay Inn is the great accommodation, i stay here. It’s just like a happy family, everyone there is so nice and hospital. I am sure, i will come back. SEE YOU PHUKET
