I thought it might have been a while since an update, so here goes. I've pretty much done nothing of note in Melbourne yet, i took the free tram around the city centre, saw some old buildings (one was even 1860!) and walked kinda near the tennis place. Otherwise i've been spending my day as follows; get up aat 8am for free breakfast at the hostel, go to park and use museums wireless to check emails and ook for jobs, apply for jobs. Return to hostel, watch tennis ...

Hi all, Well no luck on the job front, but i have to go and see some people about a room in a shared house later today. Hopefully that wil go well, i'm taking cookies as a bribe. I've just uploaded some pictures of Sydney and Hunter Valley, Blue mountains etc. There arent too many this time, i got bored of looking like a tourist rather quickly as my main acitivty in Oz is working and living rather than taking a million photos of everything, still i hope there are...

Okay, so i've made it to Melbourne. And the plan now is to look for a job and a room in a shared house. so far, after almost 36hours of trying,, im not getting very far. You might say to yourself... thats not a very long time, give it a week. Well considering i was up at 6am yesterday, spent all day looking online, around the area, on noticeboards, making phone calls and sending my CV to many people...it's not great that i havent yet received ONE phone call about...

Argh, I'm tired. We went to the beach today for our 'learn to surf' day. And i dont think i'll be becoming a surf-babe anytime soon. Still seem to have a rather overwhelming fear of water since the white water rafting, which is annoying. So i waded out with the board after all the ON-land instruction... and yeah, got hit by afew waves, watched other people have a go, and then pretty much gave up on the idea and went back in. It was cold today though, a mere 20deg...

I've just booked my bus ticket to Melbourne, which was a right hassel, and now i think i need to find a way to print the e-ticket out... so stressful! But its done, and now i just have until the 13th in sydney. Took a walk around today, went to Glebe and Newtown, some areas to the west of where im staying. They were leafy and nice but abit rundown.
