Today we found ourselves homeless for the first time on our trip. We'd managed to book ourselves on an overnight train to Vienna, which didn't leave until 9pm. So checking out at midday meant we had 9 hours to kill, which we managed to do by wandering and eating our way around Venice. It really did feel like we were just waisting time though and by the time 9pm came around we were well and truly ready to get onto the train.

Boarding the train we found our little sleeper cabin. And by little, we mean little. Definitely not big enough for two people and two full sized suitcases, so we grabbed a clean set of undies out of the cases each and then shuffled then off to a different carriage. The room was as wide as a single bunk bed with just enough room to stand next to it side on. But it had all we needed and about an hour or so into the trip we'd settled into our beds for the journey. Not the quietest things on 100 wheels, so it'll be ear plugs in tonight. Hopefully we'll get some sleep because we get into Vienna at 8 and can't check in until 3pm…
