Woke to the sound of fire crackers again, oh joy! Went for a wander around the city checking out all the different Falles.
There was a public fireworks display at 11am. Hundreds of people made their way to a central plaza for the display which turned out to be the loudest thing I've ever heard. Just a huge succession of explosions raising to a crescendo that surely must have deafened those close by. We were probably 100m away around the corner and I had my hands over my ears pretty early on. Quite an experience.
After the crowds dispersed we made our way to the cathedral and surrounding area. Stopped for a cervesa in the cathedral plaza and people watched for a while.
Had a menu del dia for dinner which is a set menu. We had 3 different salads to share to start, paella for main, desert and glass of Sangria all for €12.
After dinner joined hundreds of other people for what we thought was going to be another fireworks display at 11pm but turned out to be a parade. Lots a different nationalities in traditional costume parading along playing music and dancing etc. Was interesting to start with but took over an hour to finish so pretty sick of standing by then so headed back to hotel for bed.
