Had a little sleep in as elected to have breakfast included in room (costs extra) so didn't need to spend time searching for somewhere to eat.
Buffet breakfast was really good. Afterwards headed off sightseeing. Was spitting rain when got outside so had to duck back up to room to get jacket as not used to no sunshine.
Headed to bullring Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza. Took guided tour which took about half an hour. Was quite interesting but wish I could say guide was interested to be there or take my questions. She was more interested in rushing the group through. Could only go into the stands not the centre but this was a good thing as by this time it was pissing down.
There was a massive marquee in the middle of the ring as they were holding some bullfighting awards there in a couple of days.
After tour wandered off to find the cathedral. We were getting quite soaked so decided to buy a big umbrella.
Found the cathedral (bit hard to miss really considering it's the one of the largest on the world) and the queue to get in. Seeing as cathedral so big decided to get audiotour with ticket. Was worthwhile. Although the cathedral is really big it didn't feel huge compared to some of the others we've been in or maybe we've just got used to massive ancient structures! Climbed up the Giralda (bell tower) and lovely views of the whole city from the top.
We were pretty peckish after a couple of hours in the cathedral and hadn't eaten since our late breakfast so went off in search of an early (in Spanish terms) dinner.
Ate at a Pizza place in Plaza de la Encarnación which has a pretty impressive new structure/roof thing over the plaza. Looks like it's one of those giant kitset models made out of wood.
We were pretty tired after a days sightseeing and walking around so headed back to hotel for early night.
