Time to leave our lovely hotel and unfortunately what happened next severely tainted my impression of Vejer. Will let Chris tell you as it still gets me wild!

Unfortunately when we parked the car last night it was dark and we didn't see the sign that said no parking from 8am to 4pm. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we're going to laugh about our €200 parking fine one day. Actually we only had to pay €100 because we paid promptly. Funny funny, one day, hopefully... Back to Caro...

Not finding it funny so far, still a bit raw. Anyway moving on.....

Arrived in Cadiz early afternoon and after our stressful morning decided relaxing in beach was better idea than sightseeing.

Went to Playa de la Victoria. Very long beach (couldn't even see the end!) with lovely white sand. After enjoying the hot sun thought would test out the water. Was lovely and clear but damn cold! Still wanted to give it a good go. I got up to my waist but when I could no longer feel my feet had to get out. Chris persevered and got in and stayed in for half hour!

After warming up again in the sun felt we'd done enough for a beer! Initial plan was to head into old town for sightseeing but the beers were going down too well so stayed put in the sun till 6ish then went back to hotel, quick shower and change then got bus into old town for some dinner.
