There I am again, back in Dublin.
After seven weeks of holidays classes will start again on Monday the 20st. Looking forward to that and to see everyone again but for now just enjoying my last couple of days of Holliday.
In seven weeks a lot has happened. My brother came to visit me and we went to the Jameson distillery where I was picked out for some tasting (which was of course delicious). Next to that we took the train the Malahide (near Dublin) and went to see the Castle which was OK. We also went to Belfast with an organized tour. It is very strange to see that a city is really divided in two sides and that it is actually dangerous to cross sides. There are still shootings every now and then and a big wall which separates the two sides. The Christmas market however was nice and we took a black taxi (which is a touring taxi for tourists to be able to see both sides of the city) where the taxi driver told about the fights between both sides and the children who are also fighting not because they know why, but mainly because they are supposed to. The hate is pasted through the generations but the history behind it starts to be forgotten.
The week after that I went to Edinburgh for four days. This is really a wonderful city, especially in the evening when you walk up hill and see all the lights burning in the city itself. Somehow there were a lot of Australians traveling, and with a few I explored the city and during an organized walking tour we went to the graveyard where the writer of Harry Potter got most names used in the books. I also went on a trip to loch ness. It was a twelve hour trip so I was exhausted in the end, but it was defiantly worth it. The view on the Scottish highland was wonderful and we were very luck as the sky was bright and the sun was shining. Arriving at the lake we could do a tour on the lake to perhaps hear the monster under the water but as I am not really into that I took a walk up hill and enjoyed the silence and the view was just breathtaking view. Really the Scottish landscape is just amazing. After all that I want to Glasgow but ofcourse not before I tried haggis, which just tast like mee with a lot of spices. I only stayed there for one day and explored the history side. It was up hill so I guess the view on the city should have been beautiful but as there was a lot of fog I didn't see that much. However the cathedral is beautiful and huge as it had two floors.
So the first two weeks of my Holliday I have spent traveling and saying goodbye to some friends as they were only here for one semester. After that I went home to see my family and friends again and celebrate Christmas and New Year. In the end it were four wonderful weeks and it made me realize even more how much I miss everyone. The weirdest thing however was driving on the right side of the road. I guess that will take me a few months again to get used to that when I am back.
So on Monday classes start again. I will have three classes again this semester which are Global Logistics, Supply Chain Operations and Supply Chain Sustainability. Marks of my semester one classes are not yet all online but I know already that I got some A's and B's but this is only half of all my marks so still waiting. This semester I will have a break in between, from the 10th until the 23th of March.
Hugs
