Carol and I just spent a couple of days at Farm Beach with Brett, Hanno and Stelleen, Josh and Nick. Spent most of first day drifting over about 30 or 40 metres of water out side Sir Isaac's Point that is normally home for a significant number of Nannaghi, Snapper etc but we only managed to land a couple of small Nannies and a few undersized ones that had to go back. Experienced how the other half lives yesterday when we spent the day at the Port Lincoln Cup. It is amazing how many people can attend a race meeting on a week day. Day started well with the first use of our new Seniors Cards. $20 entrance fee reduced to $10. These cards could be a winner. Cost $70 for the year but apparently will get us all kinds of discounts. The three days at Memory Cove provided us with some great memories. Highlights included a two hour walk with spectacular views, rock fishing in idyllic conditions (without ideal results) success with pulling cray pots and fishing, meeting some interesting fellow travellers, peace and tranquility and of course some quality time with the kids and some of their friends. Memory Cove in the Port Lincoln National Park must be one of the best kept secrets in SA. A pristine beach surrounded by natural scrub, it is a must see if you visit Lincoln.
