Carol and I just spent a couple of days at Farm Beach with Brett, Hanno and Stelleen, Josh and Nick.
Spent most of first day drifting over about 30 or 40 metres of water out side Sir Isaac's Point that is normally home for a significant number of Nannaghi, Snapper etc but we only managed to land a couple of small Nannies and a few undersized ones that had to go back. Brett, Nick and Josh in Josh's boat had considerably more luck and finished up with about a dozen Nannies and a couple of Snapper.
Josh and Nick took a little convincing but eventually decided to join us for a roast on the beach that the Hannans kindly provide.
Our fishing didn't really improve when after tea the gar dabbing trip saw the only windy conditions for the day basically put pay to any chance of success with the spot light.
The general trend for the weekend continued when pulling the pots on "Never Fails Reef" all 4 pots came up empty.
Sundays brief fishing efforts didn't improve the tally so we decided to call it a day and head back to Lincoln.
Fishing aside being able to free camp on a magnificent beach and spend time with family and friends is the reason we bought the slide on and apart from a little more sand in the camper than we would have liked, it really performed brilliantly.
Special thanks to Tim and Amanda who lent us their boat, even though they were at a wedding in Melbourne for the weekend.
