Arrived in Koh Phangan a few days before the Full Moon Party, to enjoy some of the lead up nights before the big one. I stayed quite near Thong Sala, which was about 15 minutes in a taxi to Haad Rin Beach where the bars are. I stayed in Phangan for 5 days and didnt really do anything except drink, sleep and nurse a hangover on the beach. The nights leading up to the full moon party were great, it was pretty much the same but just a scaled down version. The Full Moon Party was amazing, locals performing fire shows and everyone covered in fluorescent paint. All the way along the beach there were bars pumping out music and everyone had a legendary bucket in their hand (well except Prance)! I saw Princess Beatrice at the full moon party, she told Prance to "Have a f***ing Bucket" but even though royality spoke, he didn't bow to the pressure. Spent most of the night going between the Drop In Bar and Cactus Bar. Managed some how to stay awake until 8am in the morning, so managed to see sunrise on the Beach before heading back for some much needed rest.
