Got up about midday and Di came and knocked for me to find out the plan for getting to the rugby tonight. We werent sure at that time so i said i would let her know later. She was off for a job interview today, she's a dive instructor. Went to the YHA cafe to have breakfast/brunch and had a fry up! Walked down to the $10 shop and bought a scarf and hat and a couple of emergency poncho's as the weather was looking dodgy for the evening! Went to Paddy's markets again and bought a jumper. Went back to the hostel and watched a bit of tv and waited to find out what the plan was about the rugby. Di came back and we talked about her interview etc and the night before. Saw Jamie and co and they were meeting downstairs shortly to get the train over to the stadium. We walked over to Central Station opposite the hostel and the trains were free! Wouldnt get that at home!! The trains are all double deckers, they're weird! Got to Olmpic Parkand went and collected our tickets, took some photos of the stadium and went to find the lads. There were 1000's of people everywhere. We queued to get some drinks and text the lads to say where we were. We stood outside drinking and chatting and had our photo taken by some Auzzies. We found the lads and stood with them and then walked over to the stadium gates. We found our seats and the game began! We gave away loads of penalties and we lost, BIG time! 34-3 Australia, gutted! The England flag i was wearing came off pretty quick! He He! We got the train back to Central and dropped our stuff in our rooms and went down to Side Bar, there was a guitarist/singer in the bar who was really good and he had the crowd singing along with him. The bar closed early as it was Sunday night and went over to say hi to the others in my room and went upstairs to watch a bit of tv. Billy, Criag and Toni came up and they were going to Kings Cross, i decided to join them. Craig was going to bed and Di decided to stay at the hostel too. Will tagged along to. We got a cab over to Kings Cross and went to Empire a bar/club. Has a few drinks and a boogie and got a cab back. Took ages to get a cab and it was cold waiting for 1!
