Arriving in Agra was crazy!! It is super busy with lots going on- lots of markets lots of people and even more animals! Every Friday the Taj Mahal is closed to tourists. We visited the Taj Mahal this morning (Saturday) at 6am to see the sunrise. The building was beautiful. It took 20 years to build and took 22,000 workers to complete. The main building was built by order of the king for his 3rd wife and there are two smaller buildings on each side of the taj for his first 2 wives. All the workers had there hands cut off after the building was complete so that nothing similar was built again which is insane! Agra is known as crime capital of the country but so far all ok! We are now in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
