An hours flight from Bangkok and we arrived in the beautiful island on Koh Samui. Although a small beautiful island there is a 7/11 at every corner and hundreds of huge resorts. It is a real holiday destination which meant staying in a hostel and watching my money felt slightly surreal. Arriving in Thailand coming from India felt amazing! I didn't feel at risk of my life whilst the taxi driver took me to my hotel it was clean and quiet! Hotel was cheap and lovely! Varanasi is super busy and super humid! Hello drenched clothing every time you step out of an air conditioned room! However... Varanasi is beautifully interesting. So after our first encounter with the overnight trains in India we arrived in Khajuraho. The train was an experience! Khajuraho is a quiet, green city. The home of several temples a lake and to the infamous Kama sutra. I read a bit of the Kama sutra book and couldn't actually believe the original text. It is quite surprising and not just to do with sex. There is a lot about relationships and what qualities you require in yourself and a partner.

We spent one night here in the jungle and went to the tiger safari in the early hours of the morning. We didn't get to see any tigers unfortunately, I think mainly down to the heat, but we did see monkeys, dear, crocodiles and a few other small animals which was great.
