After a good night sleep, a light breakfast we ventured out into Kensington looking for Harrods . Finding it didn't open until 10 am we continued on our walk to buckingham palace- perused the gift shop , took photos in front of the palace ( the balcony William and Catherine stood on only three weeks ago. Walked to Downing Street and had a drink in the pub opposite no 10 Where we had a meal 3 years ago. Continuing on our walk we passed Westminster Abbey , Big Ben ,Houses of Parliament over the Westminster Bridge to the London Eye. enjoyed our 30 minute on the Eye - withviews over the city. David enjoyed the mechanics of the structure. Next walked Trafalgar Square the to Piccadilly Circus then on to Harrods.
Enjoyed our oyster and champagne as we had done three years ago. used the rest rooms and had a browse around the food hall. A cab ride to Madam Tussaud's wax works , happily no queue . Photos with movie and sport stars. pleased we went. A cab ride back to our hotel - Kensington rooms , exhausted after our big day, slept until 8 pm .
Feeling refreshed we tidied up and had dinner in a nice restaurant around corner ( a restaurant David had eaten in in a former life !)
