Today we leave our apartment on the Promenade de Anglaise Nice France. Next stop Dubai. We will miss the view but not the uncomfortable beds. All in all had a great time enjoying the sights, food and wine of France. Word for today Tchin, Tchin ! cheers in French .

Today is our last full day in France. We breakfast on crunchy bread rolls filled with cheese and tomato. Having got the hang of the public transport we take the bus along the promenade de Anglaise to the old city and wander through the narrow cobblestoned lane ways. The public transport is excellent and you can take a bus or tram ( or combination of both) for one euro ($1.30)for up to 74 minutes. Today we take the train to Saint Raphael a few stops past Cannes. Another seaside resort where we have an enjoyable lunch. Fridge magnet purchased alas no suitable tea-towels. Stopping at Antibes on the way home . A very quick swim in the cold sea in front of our apartment in Nice. Joan and I enjoyed a beer on the rocky beach . Today we take a one and a half hour train journey to San Remo in Italy. A seaside town on the Italian Riviera. We have lunch overlooking the harbour. Totally different to the French we have been experiencing in the past few days. Today breakfast on the balcony. Descending the 5 levels of stairs in our apartment building we proceed to the tourist bureau. Organizing tours for the the next few days. As it is raining this morning we make our way to the shopping precinct. An easy walk from our accommodation.
