I guess you could say this is cheating, but we are leaving for Gatlinburg, TN, tomorrow morning in our vehicle...no camper...and staying in a bungalow.

Our son and his wife are going with us. She is 5 months pregnant and the camper would not be comfortable for her. So we will be staying in town in a two bedroom bungalow. Could this count for camping? Probably not, but I decided to include all of my 'potential' trips as well.

Galtinburg is one of my favorite places in the world, though it continues to get more commercialized each year. Still, nothing beats the view of the Smoky Mountains; the sound of the gurgling streams; and the smell of burning fireplaces. It is one of the reasons, we bought the camper...it would be an ideal place to take it and I have envisioned myself in one of the many area campgrounds many times.

We plan on checking out a few for a trip later this summer or early fall.
