Once back on the mainland we caught an overnight bus to Bangkok . We had to change bus several times throughout the trip but we managed to arrive safely to bangkok bus station at 5am. We got a taxi into the city with a few other friends and stayed at a well known area close to Khoa San road. Our last island to visit was Koh Pangan - The home of the Full moon party. We were really expecting a mad house full of drunk backpackers but instead we found this island to be the most relaxing of them all. The island was almost like a ghost town. We caught a 3 hour ferry over to Ko tao. It is a small island that sits on a ledge of coral reefs with crystal clear water which makes it a famous place to dive and snorkel. The diving courses here are also amazingly cheap. We got picked up from the ferry by a man, we sat on the back of his ute and went to buddha view diving. To get to these islands we had to catch a ferry from Surat thani. Our first stop was koh Samui. This is one of the original islands that started the backpacker migration to Thailand and is now an all-purpose beach resort.
