Looking out over the old bridge over the Bosphorus with this huge Mosque on our right.
What a view!
Dinner was spectacular!
And the company great.
And when you are the third youngest on the bus
( Emily being the youngest and haven't managed to talk to the other younger lady yet.)
When you are youngest and third youngest, boy you can beat the rest to the window seat with the view in the restaurant.
And we did.
This is the 'Take No Prisoners' tour.
( We also feel we may be first to the restrooms at the stops as well! Bonus!)
There are about 30 on the tour.
Will give a proper head count soon.
Most are couples, late 60s and older.
A couple of lovely ladies travelling on their own.
We are all from Australia.
Fulia is our lady tour guide.
She lives in Istanbul.
She's about 40.
We sat opposite a couple from Doncaster, Richard and Mary.
They have come straight from a tour in Egypt where Richard climbed Mt Sinai.
Great fun.
Emily and Richard really hit it off.
Same sense of humour.
Several people got Emily to help them with their phones and cameras.
This young one is going to be very busy, I think.
Great food.
But the view!!!
What a sight for the 1st dinner of the tour.
We loved it.
See that photo with the birds over the mosque?
I almost shot Emily under the table in my haste to get to the right spot to get the photo!
Back to the hotel by 9.30pm.
Off again on a walking tour tomorrow morning at 8.30am.
The forecast is for the weather to be the same as today.
( b*****, and I just got my shoes dry.
Stuck the hair dryer on high in each one and just blasted away. )
Great night.
Great to see the city at night.

Greg Let me tell you, there is nothing wrong about travelling with people in the sixties bracket !!!Especially the early sixties !Thanks for your birthday wishes from Istanbul - something special. We are dining in Belgrave tonight - a far cry from your location.Have fun.
Martine Istanbul is making me salivate! I cannot tell you how much I envy you two wild things. The constant smiles and obvious joy you are managing to create for yourselves is spectacular. Now, much more importantly, the bracelets are spot on. Definitely 'Harrods London' shall be the way I recall the first bracelet, whilst you were on a tour with the Fayeds. The second bracelet can be a gift from some Mullah. Delighted to see you both sooooo happy. M.
Sandra Bourke Here we go! What an amazing photo of the mosque. Pink clouds and birds in flight! Ha, ha, the bonuses of travelling with 'oldies'. Watch out for them, they are fabulous at enjoying themselves and keeping up, and they give the best hugs!
