Not much to report today.
Full day on the bus.
Left Venice at 8.30am.
Wonderful sleep.
We drove through the Dolomite Mountains.
The scenery is just spectacular!
Will arrive at the hotel in Vienna in about 1 hour... 4pm.
Then off to the Viennese Concert at 6.30.
I will finally get to wear my coat!
Glad I don't need my boots!....
In joke with Brooke and Simone at work....Mum and Dad.
They couldn't agree if I should bring my boots or not....so finally I was going to pack just one!!!!
(Slip on black shoes will be fine, girls...I bet you are relieved.)
It is cool here... About 18 degrees.
Look back on this one... I may add to it
Oh...oh...oh...
Debbie and I had the front seat behind the driver all day!!!!!!
Debbie...one of 3 NZ sisters....
So we had the best view all day of mountains, streams, etc...
Loved it!
Off to enjoy a classical night....

Wonderful hotel... Set on a golf course, Greg.
It's 11.17pm now. Just back from the Concert night in Vienna.
Dropped off in centre of town to get dinner and wander at 6pm. Lovely meal, mainly salad and pasta... Craving a bit of salad.
Vienna at night is amazing.
Saw an amazing memorial to the Victims of the Nazi regime lit up at night.
And marvellous statues.
Then onto the concert.
Loved it.
Wore my dressy black coat, just as I had planned.... Got it out from under all the clothes in the case... Felt very well dressed ... And promptly had to check the coat in at the cloakroom ... No coats allowed inside the concert hall.
Now, I found that particularly funny.
I think I can post it home now.
But I looked very nice on the bus.
Loved the concert... Mozart and Strauss.
Went for 2 hours in an old, old hall where they used to teach the aristocrats how to waltz.
I will never hear the Blue Danube again without thinking of this. I had tears in my eyes. Very moving.
Better go to sleep... Up at 6am .

Andrew B Hi Carolyn,The scenery looks so majestic – and you had front seats, how good was that! The concert hall looks great, I can imagine how wonderful the night was – and emotional. The massive arts, memorials, and statues just seem to be everywhere don’t they? Just beautiful.I think the picture in your room sums up your feelings about his trip “I could have danced all night”Keep having fun and enjoy Schonbrunn Palace.Andrew Xx
