Another good flight.
I am surprised at how spacious it seems up the front of the plane.
And an aisle seat.
And they open the doors and you are walking off in one minute.
Much, much nicer.

Only slept for an hour.
So it's 11pm Sunday night your time.

Feeling really good surprisingly.
Found a lovely window seat in a cafe and I am watching planes take off and leave in absolutely brilliant sunshine.
Had some pasta.
Just relaxing.

So 3 hours to go here.
Then off to Split.

Rather looking forward to seeing that hotel room.
Basically, the bed.
And the shower.

I have been jumping on 'sky trains' here to get from place to place in the airport.
And they give you a great view of the airport and you race along.

Because of the long wait here I haven't got my boarding pass for the flight to Croatia yet.
The desk isn't open.
( I tried hard to get one from the lovely lady at the Emirates counter before I realised that I wasn't flying anymore with them.
We had a laugh and a talk.
She blamed the time difference and a long time in the air.
I went with that.)

And Amanda, I was given the most beautiful cake from you on the flight from Dubai to Rome.
To wish me a great trip.
Now, they didn't give it to me until about 45 minutes before Rome so I didn't attempt anything with it then. Could have shared etc with people around me but they were packing up ready to land.
So I have it safely ( I think ) wrapped in plastic and stowed in my carry on.
I am not sure that a photo will do it justice after I get to Split though.
What a great late night snack that will be!

I feel the issue of KitKats should be addressed.
Best aeroplane food ever!
Only the chunky ones though.
I think I'd eaten two before the wheels left the Tarmac in Dubai.
I think I'll save the last one til bedtime in the Jupiter Heritage Hotel in Split tonight.
That way we can be certain they help with sleep!

I wandered a bit in Dubai airport.
They sell very expensive everything there!

About to do a wander in this part of Rome airport.
But I think the result will be the same.
Fun looking though.

My little bag worked well as carry on, Mum.
Didn't have to get involved with the overhead lockers at all.

However, there was condensation over my head as we landed.
From the air conditioning they said.
So the lovely young girl next to me, and I spent the last 30 minutes dodging drops falling from above.
We landed with pillows on our heads.
I think we looked like we were the front runners of a new cult.

You would not believe the weather out there.
Stunning blue skies.
And Bruce is singing at full blast in this cafe... Born in the USA.
I may be punch drunk but I'm bopping along.
( What? No one knows me here.)

Have enjoyed the trip really.
