Up at 6.15am. This was a lovely motel. I had a room 105 on the 1st floor. Really country motel just like in country Victoria... Balcony out the front. Breakfast was lovely.
Off to Biarritz seaside town.
Beautiful day about 26 degrees.
We stopped at the lighthouse so we could see the view down into the town.
Magnificent.
3 hours for exploring and watching the surfers and swimmers. Had a great time walking the streets and shopping.
Bought perfume...Jardins de Bagatelle ... My absolute favourite .
Bought 2 charms to start my charm necklace
A symbol of Biarritz and a silver starfish.
AND, I took off my shoes and socks and walked the beach... Jumped a few waves... Not quite hot enough for a swim.
(You can read there that I chickened out. Shopping was more fun!)
Back on the bus.... And we are now settled in our hotel in Pamplona. I am on the 7th floor with a balcony . I think this alphabetical thing is working in my favour.
Quite warm but beautiful breeze out here on the balcony.
Another hour till we leave on our walking tour of the city. See where the bulls run and where Hemingway did his thing.
So funny. I am such a seasoned traveller.
Hmmmm... The lights don't work in my room.
Tried every switch. Then tried combinations of switches. Then tried opposite combinations.
Oh well nothing for it. I'll just have to catch the elevator down to Reception and let them know. Hope they don't shift me... Nice room this.
Luckily, I ran into Phillip, a member of the tour, explained my problem. He explained that I have to put my key card in the light slot to get the lights working.
Oh.
Nice ride up and down in the elevator though!
