Up at 6.30am for fruit on the balcony!
Gazing at that view.
Stormy morning.
But the clouds have cleared to a beautiful day.
Breakfast.
Then on our way.
Two hour drive to catch the ferry from a small village.
I rang you from here, Mum as we were waiting to board.
Lovely to hear your voice.
Seat rotation is in force on the bus, Amanda.
There are only 26 of us and we can't work out the system Sibila is using.
( Sort of like a cryptic number puzzle, we think.)
Just our names are on a seat and that's where we are for the day.
So not sure which side of the bus l'll be on for the return journey.
We loaded on the ferry and I had a seat on the side looking over the water.
A young girl sat down next to me.
( And, perhaps ....me being me?)
I said, 'Nice shoes.'
One thing led to another ...
And it turns out that ...
She is Swedish.
Holidaying for a week in Croatia.
Coming to Melbourne in July.
To study nursing.
At Monash.
And is looking for somewhere to stay.
Her name?
Mathilda.
Hahahaha.
Hahahaha.
You would not read about it, would you!!!!?
Unbelievable!!!
We had an astonishing conversation.
Met her Dad.
Anyway, I have given her my contact details and invited her for lunch.
Unbelievable.
Travelled half way round the world to meet someone who is coming to study in Melbourne!
Hahahaha!!!
( I saw her later swimming and just had to get a photo!)

Andrew Browning Hi Carolyn,Great photo of you & Matilda.…….only you Carolyn, only you could find the one person in Bosnia that is coming to Melbourne in July to study and invite them to lunch. Love it.Just brilliant, a true testament to your personality. This could be the beginning of “friends” overseas!!! And I’m sure Matilda will appreciate the friendship.Yep, unbelievable!!!!!AndrewXx
M What a small world!! That's amazing!She has a fabulous smile
Daryl Get out of here?!
Amanda Phillips Sibila's rotation system may be a problem!I hope you work it out by Dubrovnik. If not, just casually move your name sign before anyone else gets on the bus. Alternatively a few laxatives in Sibila's morning coffee may be required to beat her to the bus! Is Matilda at Monash Berwick, how freaky is that!My sister in-law works in the nursing admin department at Monash looking after students and their training placements. I will ask if she will be looking after Matilda.
