Up a bit later had breakfast when phone rings to say they are picking Gabe up at half ten for skydiving. I go along for support and shortly reach airfield where two Asians had just landed. Weather was great about 24 and hardly a cloud in the sky. Do all the paperwork and a lesson in what to do and wait for two others to show up. About ten minutes later head instructor says that the jump is off due to weather. It looked perfect to me but none of the instructors wanted to go. While it was great on the ground 14000feet up the wind was running at 100km/hr and flukey so they said there was two much risk. Had an interesting talk to one instructor who was local and he told us Victoria five time size of switzerland minimum wage is 20 franc an hour they pay 50 franc a year for water. He speaks a few languages and had been to aust. One other instructor was from the Gold Coast. So after two hours no result. Then decide to go up the cable car to Harder Kuln a restaurant perched on the edge of a mountain 1400 mts up. The cable car goes up at about seventy degrees and the photos don't do it justice. Luckily got a front seat on way down and videoed the return. As everywhere here great views although not much to do on the top except have lunch and hope there's not an earth shudder.Again expensive lunch and by time we got it it was 3.30pm. Meal was good but as with all food in Europe there were a few mystery items. Jungfrau trip closed today as completely covered on cloud and mist so lucky we went yesterday.
Feel like I've run a marathon so early night tonight as off to Zermatt and skiing on the Matterhorn. Funny thing about Paris and here is that there are no big supermarkets just little stores about 80 mts square with most things in them. The other being that Geneva is not even as big as Geelong. Although only seven million live here. And the instructor told me they speak Swiss/German and the Germans can't understand them. But a good percentage of them speak French and english as well. They don't understand strine though!
Cows out grazing on the hills for a few months then back into the barn for winter. No fly wires on the windows only shutters and haven't seen a fly here probably don't have them.
