...I find the French bakery/breakfast chain le Pain Quotidien in Moscow!
...I go to visit the famed Arbat street and consider buying Vladimir Putin magnets (they sell a lot of Putin souvenirs here!) I settle for the more sinister Stalin instead
...I visit the space center and find it pretty boring (all in Russian), though some Soyuz and Vostok exhibits are real piece of history right there
...I take the elevator to see Moscow from the top of the Ostankino TV tower - a great view but I have to listen to boring (again Russian) presentation of the guide before I'm allowed to actually see the view. The glass floor is a great treat though.
...I get a little lost trying to find the metro on the way back. Did I mention the city is huuuge?
...I do some more social meetings and get stuck on the Moscow beltway (one of them..) in a terrible traffic jam at 1am...
...I notice that people here when they talk about central and western Europe say: "In Europe, this or that..." - like they don't consider themselves a part of it...
