Well it was still raining this morning when we woke up this morning. There is really not a lot you can do here when its pouring with rain. Once it stopped we headed for the beach again, this time we almost made it, we could see the beach from the other side of the water but as we had forgotten the camera and it wasn't a very nice day we headed back. The rain held off for the rest of the day.

Today we pretty much did nothing, although we did try another attempt at finding the beach but once we were almost there a big black cloud was heading right for us so we decided to head back. As soon as we got back to the hostel the cloud had cleared and the sun was out, typical! But it is now the evening and the cloud has come back and is now pouring with rain!

Today we walked into Nelson town centre and popped into the toursit information centre to pick up some leaflets. We thought we would try and find a beach but after walking around for ages not really knowing where we were, we thought we should head back and go another day when we have a map! After lunch we lounged around by the pool.

Today we had to catch our bus at 8am which took us to the ferry port. We caught the 9.30am crossing over to Picton on the South Island. It took 3 hours and our bus was waiting for us the otherside, very efficient! The bus continued for a couple of hours until we arrived in Nelson, Nelson is supposed to be the sunshine capital of NZ we're hoping it lives up to its reputation. The hostel we are in is lovely, it has a swimming pool, spa and sauna!

Today was our last day in Wellington and we couldn't decide what to do, we have done pretty much all we wanted to do here so we just had a wonder around. We ended up down by the water front where we found thousands of people all heading towards the pier so we decided to follow. It turned out that the Birdman competition was on today so we ended up watching that for a while. We did have a great view and a nice seat but this great big boat decided to pull up rig...
