Saturday night a couple of C&C's friends came round so we had our first oz bbq. Complete with one or two sociable drinks. On sunday we headed out to Mount Coot-tha for a great view out over the city as it was another cracking day. We had all been dreaming of a sunday roast including yorkshire puddings so that was Craig and Chris's job for the afternoon. Surely it wasnt a good idea to leave it to them and they didn't disappoint. The thought of Yorkshire Puddings will no doubt send a shiver down our spines for the rest of our lives as we will all get flash backs of the attempts which turned out more like stodgy yourkshire pancakes!! Nevermind it gave us all a good laugh. We headed into Brisbane yesterday (Monday) for a look round the city. As we had gone in rather early with Carole on her way to work the first job was to enjoy a good old english breakfast to set us up for the day of sightseeing ahead. There was a good mix of old and new buildings to explore and we enjoyed a trip down the river on the city cat. Here we saw endless fancy apartments overlooking the water all with moorings for private yachts, very nice. I actually enjoyed walking round the shops as we are almost pennyless so no spending for jill, although she did seem to manage to always bring us back to the Tiffany store. This was after Chris had bought Carole a lovely bracelet there and I think Jill was feeling left out. Well that brings an end to our Oz adventure, a big thank you Chris & Carole for letting us stay, it looks like your having a fantastic time. We are flying off to Thailand in the next couple of hours so watch this space....
