On Saturday we went on a trip to the Whitsunday Islands and the barrier reef. Thankfully the weather was better. We took a 30 min hellicopter ride over the islands, the famous whitehaven beach & hill inlet and then over the reef and the famous hear shaped reef as shown above. Finally we have had gloriuos sunshine, and enjoyed relaxing by the water pools along the front at Townsville. On Friday we got the ferry across to Magnetic Island. We hired the standard island transport, a mini moke, which was cool. The island is small and hardly any roads, but we had fun driving about the island anyway.
