Craig & Jills Round the World Trip
On wednesday we headed south towards the Sunshine Coast just above Brisbane. First stop was Noosa, it was here that we got our first proper look at the locals enjoying the beach. We couldnt believe the age of some of the guys surfing, we're talking 70+ I reckon. Noosa was a real millionaires playground with loads of flash water front pads. We carried on down the sunshine coast stopping at a number of beaches, just a shame the sun wasnt shining.
We arrived into Brisbane to stay with our friends Carole & Chris and not forgetting Beano their dog. Wow what a house, a brand new very modern place complete with swanky pool. They have really spoilt us while we've been here, treating us to lots of yummy meals kebabs and pie and pies! Only joking its been really nice of them to let us stay, and its great to see how much they are enjoying there new life in Oz.
On Thursday we went to the Lone Pina Koala Sanctuary where we got to see hundreds of really cute koalas, and were able to hold one. There fur is so soft, and they just look at you with there sleepy eyes. We also were able to get up close to some kangaroos and hand feed them which was cool.
Friday we went to Australia Zoo, home of the crocodile hunter. We of course got to see lots of scary crocodiles, crikey there big. We got to se the crocs grabbing meat out of the keepers hands, and you could hear them crunching on the bones, yuk! Craig also had a photo taken with a huge python round his neck, he must be mad, I wouldnt even get close enough to take a photo.
Today we have all been to the gold coast, endless long golden beaches, and huge waves. This is the Australia we had imagined. This is of course Beanos favourite place where he can get to run round after his ball and keep cooling off in the sea. Surfers paradise is very trendy place, lots of flash seafront apartments, and of course surfer dudes.
