It was lush to have a long lie in this morning, and it was especially nice not to have anything planned for the day. Sometimes, your darting around all over the place that you don't get to actually sit and think about where you are, and actually take it in! We were in the most beautiful hotel, on a gorgeous little Island in the Gulf of Thailand...how lucky were we! We had the buffet breakfast in which I had already planned what I was going to have. Three courses later, I was stuffed and ready to lunge by the pool in the boiling hot sunshine overlooking the beach.
I did manage to book all the hostels for the rest of my trip, it suddenly dawned on me, I only had a week left! I spoke to Sam who we met in Koh Phangan as he was already on Koh Tao, and that was where I was heading next. We arranged meeting up on Koh Tao at some point and that there was actually quite few people who I knew that were already there so that was ace. After all that 'hard' work, I went back to relaxing by the pool with my fruit mocktail! It was just like being on holiday, I could do this forever and a day! By about 4 pm, I felt like I should actually get up and do something, so I thought I'd make the most of the gym facilities and get my gear on. The gym was again really hard work. There was aircon so that was fine, but I just couldn't be bothered, it was a total half-hearted effort!
Sarah met me back at the room and we got ready to head out for a meal. She hadn't gone out the night before becuase she felt unwell so wanted to make up for it and go somewhere nice. WE decided to grab a taxi and head into the main part of town. There were so many nice looking restaurants it was actually quite hard to choose. I really liked the vibe on Ko Samui, it was definately more of a holiday resort kind of place, with less travellers! We found a gorgeous looking restaurant called Prego. It was Italian style, very fancy looking but reasonable prices. The meal was incredible. We had complimentary appetizers, starters, mains and a desert! It came to an absolute fortune for Thailand prices, the same as two nights stay at the hotel! Who did we think we were! But, it was worth it. with to very full tummy's, we headed back to the hotel and grabbed another free DVD, 'Battleships' to watch in bed. What a lush day!
