We were heading to an actual posh hotel on Ko Samui today! I couldn't wait! We packed all our stuff up and headed for breakfast with Mike, Sam and Jenna down the road to an American style Diner. Breakfast was amazing, I had my first proper panini with pesto and mozzarella in aaages! We were in a rush because our taxi taking us to the ferry port was coming for us in about 30 mins of arriving at breakfast, and as it was we had to get our breakfast to takeaway. We said our goodbyes and ran back to the hostel hoping we would make it in time...they don't like to wait these taxi drivers! As it was we got the time wrong so it was coming for us half an hour later than we thought! Eventually, we shared a taxi with some other guys from the hostel all the way to the ferry port. It was sweltering hot and we had to wait out in the sun for what felt like ages, ready to board the ferry! Eventually we got on, and I srtaed to feel sick again after last night. The entire journey over to Ko Samui (about 2 hours) I was hanging off the end of the boat, desperately trying not to be sick!
We finally arrived and I was one of the first off thank god! We had prebooked our taxi to the hotel so we went in search for that. When we eventually found it, I told the driver I was sitting in the front, he took one look at me and could see I was not in the mood for an arguement as they don't usually like people sitting in the front. The journey to the hotel was horrendous, I really thought I was going to throw up at some point, but I managed to hold it in! We arrived at the hotel and were blown away...it was gorgeous! The reception area was beautiful and they even brought us complemenry drinks on arrival...we were in heaven! They carried our bags for us and showed us to our room. I didn't want to leave. The room was absolutely stunning, all white, blue and nautical! There was even a working TV with an English/American movie channel. I couldn't have been in a better place at that time. I still felt unwell so I got into the amazingly comfortable kingsize bed, wacked the aircon on and snuggled down for a few hours nap while Sarah went to suss out the pool situ. I woke up 4 hours later feeling ten times better. I started to watch a film and Sarah came back to the room. We got dressed up and decided to find somewhere local for dinner. We walked about 5 minutes down the road to find a little Thai restaurant. I wasn't expecting much but the food was awesome! After dinner, we headed back to the hotel and watched a film in bed together. Big day of tanning tomorrow...this was the life!
