We caught the very fast train to Ashford were Mick & Trace picked us up to go for a drive on English country roads and lanes & had a great experience of little country lanes (of which I wish I had have taken photos of) very pretty. We then went to see Canterbury cathedral on arrival on of the guides at the cathedral gave us a pamphlet on Australian links to the Cathedral on which a minister overheard this and told us we needed to meet one of the other ministers who was from Australia. We meet him and he gave us a guided tour around the cathedral highlighting all of the links to Australia within the cathedral, it was very interesting.

We went out for dinner with Marion & Bev & Chris, it was great to catch up with them all. Had a few too many wines with Trace but had a fantastic catch up.

Went to see Dover castle including a tour of the secret tunnels of Dover that were used during the second world war. Caught the train back to London from Dover.
