Today was the first day of our UK & Ireland tour. We travelled past some beautiful countryside to get to Shakespeare's birthplace at Statford on Avon. We continued on then to York an old city with the city walls built by the Romans still standing. Derek our tour guide took us through the streets of York & then we had time to explore, we looked through York Minster an incredible building with detailed stained glass windows. We were restricted to certain parts of the minister as there was a service being conducted which was a choir service which was very moving to listen to.
