Started the day with a tour of Edinburgh which ended at the castle which was like its own little city within the castle walls. We lined up to see the Scottish crown jewels and learnt about the colourful history of the them. After leaving the castle we went to royal Britannia which was interesting to see some modern history from our living memory with lots of photos and details about the current queen and royal family. The yacht itself was interesting and it seems a shame that the royal family don't have a yacht which has been a long part of royal family tradition, it appeared to be a place that they could truly relax away from constant public scrutiny.
A trip to the Scottish art gallery was next which houses an impressive collection of art including Monet, Rembrandt, Botticelli and many Scottish artists including Campbell & Wilkie.
