Day 15: SF Bay.
We caught a cable car down to the marina district and strolled around Fisherman's Wharf.
Given how quickly the weather can change here, we figured while it was sunny we'd jump on a boat and do a tour of the bay.
It took us out under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz.
We then did some more sightseeing around the piers before having a late lunch at 'Bubba Gump's Shrimp Resturant' - Bubba was right, there are alot if ways you can serve shrimp!
From there we took a trolley ride back to our apartment. I even got to hang on the outside for the ride and lived to tell the tale.
Thanks to the wonders of facebook, in the evening I took up an invitation from a former St Eddies classmate and now fulltime SF resident Tyron Hooper, to catch the baseball game in a local sports bar. It was packed, and thanks to the home team the Giants winning in the playoffs, was an excellent atmosphere.
Tyron, who works in the real estate business here, has offered to take us on his own sightseeing tour of San Fran on Tuesday, which might include a few 'house inspections' of a few multi-million dollar mansions on the market - not that we will be buying.
Tomorrow Nic does her foodies tour of China Town. I think the boy and I might put the feet up a little!
