Aged Travellers
Slept well, nice buffet breakfast. Bright start but soon clouded over. Went on an orientation tour lead by a local resident. The walk unded with a cable car ride up the Schatzalp, we had tea and a sandwich before Joan insisted on walking down, it took just under an hour. We then walked a short distance down the other side to another much larger mountain, the Jacobshorn. To reach the very top we had to go on two cable cars. Here it was much cooler, 8C, and also misty and damp,so we didn't stay long before heading back down again. We had more tea at the halfway point before returning to base camp. In the evening we had to make our own meal arrangements and this didn't prove to be all that easy as Davos isn't over endowed with restaurants but we did manage to find a small one, and the food was excellent with prices more in line those in London. The only problem arose when we came to pay, they didn't accept credit cards!!!! Fortunately we managed to scrape up enough cash so Joan avoided having to wash the dishes!!!
