In total, we took a five day holiday from our holiday and it was splendid, relaxing, and refreshing. We spent our first couple of days on the black sand beach in Perissa.

The island is very small, so we decided to rent a quad for the last two days. The first day we had the quad we drove it through Fira (capital city) and up to Oia to watch the sunset. We watched the sun go down as we sat on the edge of cliff just meters from ocean. We drove back to Perissa on our quad for the short 40 minute trip.

The second day with the quad we went to Red Beach. Yes, the sand was red and the beach was very busy. We were fortunate to see the famous black sand beach in Perissa earlier and now the nearby red sands.

The rest of the holiday was spent on the beach in Perissa. The 31st we jumped on the overnight ferry, found our safe spot on the floor and tried to catch a few hours of sleep before we arrived in Athens at 6 am. We took the Metro to the airport and stayed until 6pm when we flew back to Italy and landed in Milan.

Next stop, Venice.
