Hi all...and CONGRATULATIONS JO & MARK on your wedding!!
We are in Argentina again (this crossing borders from Chile and back into Argentina is becoming tiresome) and this time in the most southerly city in the world. Surprisingly it is not as cold here as I first thought even though glaciers beckon us to climb them on the near by Mts. As usual with us we are walking everywhere, yesterday was the glacier. We took a chair lift up the Mountain only realising it is another 1.5 hour walk to the top. I scrambled up shale and rock to view (not as great as Torres Del Paine but still awe-inspiring). The walk down and the view across the valleys was probably more worth while as the trees are showing their artistic display...burnt reds and yellows.
Today saw us walk through Terre del Fugo National Park which borders the town (and Chile). This time there was no Mtn hoping just a pleasant stroll along the lakes and rivers. We were expecting to see a wind swept land yet it was like walking in an enchanted world.
Tomorrow sees us lazing in the town (and also eating and drinking as Argentina is very European) before heading back on a 12 hour bus journey to Pt Arenas-Chile. We are then hopping to see the Lake District.
Until our next adventure...Stay cooool!! Aidan and da Bronz
