We are back at an Escapees park. Yes it feels like home after being away for so long. We planned to stay for about 1 month.
We were talked into staying longer for the Rodeo.
We settled right in. We have a very nice spot in the park that we can keep as long as we'd like. We can walk the girls around the outside of the park where there is nothing but desert. They enjoy running and digging up the little varmits that hide in the holes in the ground.
We went to the street fair and of course if there is a pink car I'm going to fall in love and I did.
The Rodeo. There are 7 ranches and they compete in "Rodeo" Events against each other. This is just some fun for everyone in the park.
Our team name was No Bull, Our color was purple. We had a song and a chant. Almost all of our team won a medal in the first round. In the second round only one of our teammates won.
There was cow milking. A bucket hanging from a sawhorse. You had to fill the shot glass as fast as possible.
Bull Riding. A Justin Bieber doll was put onto a stuff bull on a remote control car? Without the car and you had to drive it over a mat and over hills without it falling off.
Team Roping. There was a stuffed horse, you had a string on either side of the horse. At the front and back was a person. Those persons has to use the string to lift the horse off the ground for a 3 second count. It was much funnier than it sounds.
Barrell Racing. A stuff horse with a barbie on it was on the same remote control base as the bull was. You had to run this around the barrels and back. Many had problems with the remote control so this was time consuming. :)
Chuck Wagon race. You had to push a can of Tuna around the track with a cane. First one done wins.
Anyway, you had to be there. It was tons of fun!! This is why we love Escapee parks. Besides all the dinners and games and so on.
