Today we drove to Cober Pedy through the middle of nowhere ( again) some of you have probably heard of Coober Pedy another mining town which mines for opals. We drove into the town and then picked a place to stay which today was a place called Oasis caravan park. We quickly unpacked so that we could take a walk through town. We saw straight away that there was lots of opal shops. We walkeddto the grocery store so we could restock on food then we walked back to the caravan so we could get ready for dinner and then go to bed.

The next day we did a lot. First we went to a lookout called the winch which had a giant artifact of a winch. We could see the whole town from there it looked pretty amazing. Then we went to the old timer mine where we took a mine tour ( this mine was well lighted and wasn't as cramped so mum came in for this one we keart a lot about how the miners worked and and the different types of opals and how much their worth. Then we went to the left over piles of dirt that where about ten meters high so we could look through them to see if we could find any opals. Unfortunately we didn't find any but we did find some other cool gems. Then last but not least we went to an underground museum and learnt lots about the land and the Aboriganese and also a lot more about opals. Then we went back to the caravan had dinner then went to bed. That was pretty much it.
