Ship sailed at 2am today to head to the north of Scotland, the port of Invergordon. We are at sea all day today, and dock there at 7am tomorrow. Lots of activity on the ship today, as everyone is on board; games, wine-tastings, Irish music performances, etc.
Lauren and I went to the International Cafe for a bite to eat, then to the big sale being held in one of the dining areas. Then, we went to a jewelry and fashion show in the Princess Theater. They were giving away free prizes, so all 200+ of us tromped up to their tiny jewelry store to queue up for our free necklaces and to look at all their over-priced baubles. It was fun. Lauren got a free anchor necklace as they were thrown in to the audience, along with the free one with a blue stone in it.
Had a bit of lunch, and desserts of course. $3.50 buys you 3 large scoops of gelato on this ship. I walked one time around the promenade deck in the chilly 60-degree weather.
I have been sitting out on the balcony of our cabin taking in the beautiful coastline of western Scotland. We are going between the mainland and some westerly islands. A bit overcast, but beautiful.
Formal wear for dinner tonight.
