Ship is anchored off shore, so we have to tender in to shore again.
Shore Excursion "Edinburgh/South Queensferry. We went to Edinburgh Castle and had an hour and a half to walk around and see the sights. The only thing I didn't get to see was the Scottish Crown Jewels; the line was too long for me, and I wanted to see the rest of the castle. The castle was amazing - it's up on the hill in the center of Edinburgh. Very, very busy, as it is a holiday. Then, the bus dropped us off at one of the main shopping districts on Princess Street and a couple of us walked around and bought some last-minute souvenirs. I got rid of all of my pounds sterling. A shopkeeper was kind enough to give me a discount on a really cool etched whiskey glass with the Scottish thistle on it when I told him I only had £13.85 left. He said that was fine. The glass cost 18 pounds.
This was my last excursion of this trip. Tomorrow is a sea day for us on our way to the port in LaHavre, France, where I am just going to go ashore and wing it with a gal from our group named Sue.
