We had breakfast at the hotel then chilled there all morning after the few beers we'd had the night before. We spent the afternoon planning some of Thailand, most things are about booked now. We packed everything that we could so far in our bags and worked out exactly how much our hotel bill would be. This was so that we knew how much we had left to spend as its our last night here and our last time in Vietnam. We went out to find somewhere to eat, Ho Chi Minh city is a very international city therefore finding Vietnamese food was a little harder than Hoi An for example. We did find a little place though and decided on a set meal for two, this way we get to try more Vietnamese foods before we leave. The meal consisted of squid in sauce, Seabass sweet and sour broth, Seabass in a clay pot and boiled rice. Dessert too, James had fruit salad and I had creme caramel which was surrounded in extremely bitter coffee with ice cubes in it. Vietnamese people love cold coffee, I don't think it's something I could get used to. Afterwards we set out to find a proper Vietnamese coffee, we got distracted though by a game being played in the nearby park. It was played in pairs and they were kicking an object over their heads to each other which could only be closely described as a shuttle cock. We got talked to by three Vietnamese people who all seemed to come over to us at once. It's sad but we felt we should hold onto our belongings and left around 10 minutes later, I think all they were doing was being polite and asking questions but so many Vietnamese people have made us so suspicious. We feel you can't trust anyone here. We found a place where we got a 'real' Vietnamese coffee, they come with a small individual filter on the top of a glass. If you want milk then condensed milk had already been poured in the bottom of your glass, ready for you to stir in. I'm not one for sweet coffee usually but this is delicious. After this we made our way back to the hotel, packed the rest of the bags and tried to work out what form of transport we could get from Bangkok airport to the hotel there.
