We did a bit of planning today we've decided to definitely go to Khao Sok national park for a couple of days. We're going to have an extra day in Phuket to help us to get organised and enjoy some of Phuket still and then have two nights in Khao Sok. So we've booked a hut for two nights, it only has a fan to cool us but its only for two nights so hopefully we'll be fine. To get there we have to catch the local bus from Patong to Phuket town, then a bus from there to Khao Sok. After we'd organised this we took the scooter out and drove to Karon and Kata beaches a little further down the coast. It was quite hilly but we had a more powerful scooter this time which definitely helped. Karon beach seemed very similar to Patong but there weren't as many shops actually in the town where as Kata beach and town was a lot quieter. I think if we were to come back to Phuket we would probably stay in Kata. We had thought we might come to one of these beaches tomorrow but with it being so hilly we were just happy to have had a look. When we got back we had a chill for a bit and then got showers and ready to go out for some tea. We decided we would go out for a late tea tonight and get a couple of drinks in town so that we could see the nightlife here, apparently it's crazy. We found somewhere to eat then walked the main street in Patong, it was so busy and most of the people it was busy with were people working at bars. Every person working at a bar was carrying a board with their offers written on or what they were selling. But the most people you saw with boards were offering a "ping pong show". It was hard to get past these people but we found an Aussie bar and sat watching it all go on. We saw what looked like police cars pull up, then there were drag queens who you could get your photograph taken with for only £2, one dad shoved his child into a photograph with one! And a collection of white males with a thai female on their arm. It was great to have seen all this and have a laugh, we also played spot the ladyboy, we got back around 1.00am.
