We had an early alarm this morning because we were getting the minibus to Krabi airport, we decided seen as it was Songkran and it might be busy that we would get an early bus there and then wait at the airport not risking any delays. We checked out at 7.00am and the minibus had just arrived. We were first on then we went round to a few hotels picking people up as we went along. We got two different car ferries before getting to the airport. Once at the airport we found seats and got some breakfast as we'd checked out too early to be able to get any before we left. We had two flights today to get to Chiang Mai so first stop was Bangkok, we were pleased our first flight was on time. Although we were worried because whilst waiting it rained and it was extremely heavy so we were hoping this wouldn't stop anything going ahead. Also whilst we were waiting so were Krabi FC, they were going to Bangkok but on the flight before ours. Both flights went to plan and we got to Chiang Mai, we paid for a taxi with windows to get us to our hotel so we didn't get our bags wet. We got to the place with all of our bags dry, yay! Our place has a restaurant at the front with computers in the corner and it was quite busy with people. We were taken to our room, we thought we'd booked air con but it was a fan only room. For the price though we just thought that's fine we'll try just a fan. I'm still not 100% better with my cold, still got a cough and James' toe is still not great, still on antibiotics, so we decided to just sort our bags to get rid of all the carrier bags. Then see what options there were for getting to Laos so we could think about it and get something to eat at the restaurant downstairs. After that we went back upstairs, the only thing we did before bed was wash our still wet clothes from Songkran the day before.
