We had organised the minibus with Mr Toy yesterday so got breakfast and got picked up in the back of a truck at 8.20pm. We got taken to the office where the buses obviously go from. We got transferred to a minibus, last two seats again and set off. The driver was pretty eager to get there most of the time he was driving at around 75mph! It wasn't too bad though, and of course we were making good time. We were about there when he pulled into a makeshift bus station where we were all told to get out and asked where we were going, then given stickers with our destinations on. We were told it would be about an hours wait until the bus to Ao Nang, the frustrating thing was though that our hotel was about 11km away from this 'bus station'. James was trying to tell one of the guys and he said google doesn't know, I've lived in Krabi all my life I know it's 25km?! On trying another guy he said I hate computers they're always wrong google is the worst. We decided to give it up as a bad job, google is obviously bad for business. Whilst sat there waiting we saw quite a few people giving up and asking how much a taxi would be from here. Ah ha that was their plan, make people wait long enough and they'll pay extra! Well we waited it out for nearly an hour when Ao Nang got called, we walked to the minibus with a few other people. All of our bags were taking up two of the back seats and everyone had a seat. Then a guy brought three girls to the minibus, they were supposed to get in aswell?! Two girls sat in the front and another girl got a seat in the back. A lady from a couple had to perch on the edge of her husbands seat. Luckily we weren't going far. It didn't take long before we'd passed our hotel and were dropping everyone else off, he dropped us off last. When we got out we walked into the reception area of the little hotel and there was a sign on the desk saying they would be back later, if needed there were two mobile numbers on the desk. The maid was in though and she kindly rang the guy who owns it who took around 10 minutes to get here which was good. He was called Charlie and originally from Denmark, he was really nice and relaxed. He gave us a map of the area, we asked him about places to go and he advised us, then when the room was ready he showed us up. We were really chuffed to have a room with air con again! We chilled in the room for a bit then went out to find something to eat and for a walk along the beach. We got down to the beach and turned left and walked along, the beach has no sunbeds which looks so much better. If you walk further down there are cafes with chairs you can sit at but most people have just got their towels out on the beach. We walked further still to find the beach got a lot quieter, this was because there were loads of monkeys living down here. We couldn't believe our eyes, there was a little pond where some were swimming and a lot of them I think we're waiting at people's feet to see what they could get. A few people actually let the monkeys jump on them, we kept our distance! We stayed here to watch and get photos for a while before heading back to the hotel. We have a balcony at the hotel and later on we could see from it that there was thunder and lightning but it must be from far away as there wasn't much and it didn't last long, plus there was no rain.
