We set off earlier this morning and rode down to the beach, we've decided to go to Phra Nang beach again as it was really good yesterday. We bought our boat tickets and went to look at a shop which sold snorkel sets, we bought one which seemed to be alright for the money and said we'd get another if it was any good today. Getting into the long tail was the same as yesterday, got absolutely drenched getting in. Once on the beach we found a shady spot under a tree, we read for a little while and then took the snorkel out to a tiny island only a few metres away with a tiny beach on it. We took it in turns with the snorkel and saw quite a few fish and I saw a big crab. Apparently the snorkeling on Ko Phi Phi where we're heading next is supposed to be really good. We had been out in the water for a while so came back to dry off and then spent our time reading. We had to get the bike back this afternoon so we packed our things up and headed round to Railey beach to get a long tail back. We found a boat going back but had to wait until he had enough people to go, luckily it only took around 15 minutes. We all got in the boat, the crossing was really choppy and everyone was soaking. When we came closer to Ao Nang there was a long tail close to the shore on its side just filling with water, they were obviously having trouble. Our long tail was a bit too close to it so the boat man was trying his best to keep it away which meant getting off the boat into about four and a half feet of water! Everyone on the boat helped each other to get their things off without getting them wet where possible. We were all a little shocked getting onto the beach. A few people helped the other boat, the engine had come off and they were helping to pull it out of the water. We couldn't do anything so we left, we were going to go for something to eat before getting back but seen as we were dripping wet now we are going to wait. Although before we went back we did get another snorkel set because the other one was good. Now we have one each. We got back on the bike and went back to the hotel, after showers James had just enough time to go to the shop before the bike has to be back. One of his sandals has broken so super glue is needed to try and fix it because UK size 14 footwear is hard to come by in Asia! Fingers crossed we can get them fixed.
