We were slow this morning in getting up and out but decided we'd try and get a long tail boat to Railey beach. The beach is on an island close to Ao Nang. We bought tickets at the ticket office then had to wait there until there were enough people to take the boat out. When there was enough people we got taken down to the long tail on the beach, to get in you had to wade to the boat and climb the ladder but me being so short, I got soaked! It only took around 10 minutes to get there, getting off the boat seemed easier than getting on just our feet and ankles got wet this time. It had been suggested to us that we walk from Railey beach to a beach a little further south called Phra Nang beach we walked the path round, the cliffs you had to walk past were stunning. On the walk we got an ice lolly each to cool us down. James got a banana and coconut cream one and I got red bean one which was kidney beans, yes kidney bean ice lolly?! It was ok, I won't be rushing back for another though. When we'd reached Phra Nang beach we walked right to the end where it seemed quieter. We walked through some small bushes and came out at a little cove with no one else there. It had flat rocks to sit on and enormous cliffs either side. We watched climbers go up the cliff faces and had a swim out, there were thousands of tiny fish in the water and loads of crabs on the rocks. When we got back out we took our things onto the beach at the other side, found some shade under a bush and read our books. We had bought tickets back to Ao Nang too but weren't sure how to catch a long tail back. We packed up and on walking back to where we got dropped off a guy was shouting Ao Nang from his boat so we got on. The crossing back was a little more rocky than the way there, plus we were just about back and I'm not sure whether the driver was asleep or drunk but we took a hard left for ages, everyone was hanging on then he just righted himself with everyone looking round like, what just happened?! When we got back we took the scooter back to the hotel and got showers, we then got changed and went to the restaurant which is only two doors down from the hotel for our tea.
